Just reminding you that, if you’re in the US or otherwise have access to the channel, tune into Craig Ferguson’s Late, Late Show on CBS tonight for an extra-special treat! Glaswegian rockers Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire will be playing, and they’re well-worth checking out! They’ve been going from strength to strength, and this could be their big break in the US market! So keep an eye out, folks! These chaps’ll go far!

In other (significantly more trivial) news, I opted to purchase a Lego Sydney Opera House for myself on Friday, as is traditional on Valentine’s day. It’s now been taken over by The Joker, as Stormtroopers defend against Batman and Wolverine, while Deadpool tries to convince a couple of Rebel Troopers that giving Magneto a wedgie would be a good idea. read more

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! Best wishes to everyone who’s found true love, and that you have a lovely time. And to all of those who have yet to find true love, come join me at the bar and we’ll drink ourselves into a nice unfeeling oblivion. Hurray for cocktails!

I must say, as I get older, I feel that I harbour less and less resentment towards Valentine’s day. Yes, it still stings that I’ve never spent a Valentine’s day with anyone, yes I feel the encroaching fear of winding up abandoned and alone forever, but I definitely don’t feel as genuinely bitter about it as I used to. Now, instead of wishing I had what I don’t have, I’m merely glad that so many people DO have that something. Maybe I’m finally growing up? read more
