Welp, it’s been nice to have a few days off work, and as always, feels like I could do with a few more! How much of my original plan did I manage to get accomplished? Well, very little to tell you the truth, but I did manage to at least give it a good shot. My Mandarin’s advancing pleasantly, I’ve gotten 2/3 f my total commission complete, and I actually did manage to dig and plant a border in my garden! That was exhausting, though – kinda wishing the weather had been right earlier on in my holiday so I could elect to use one of my holiday days to recover from the effort!

Hullo all! Not much to report today really, so I’ll just leave you with this thing I was saying to someone earlier (slightly expanded):
Life isn’t about being a perfect Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, Man, Woman, Rebel, Conformist, Artist, Accountant, or Scotsman; Just aim to be a good person, who treats other people well – that’s what truly counts.
Aanyway, long day ahead! Catch you all on Monday, lovely people!

Got a week off, woo! Was originally going to head up to Fort William, until somebody pointed out that it would be rammed with Easter holidaymakers. So I’ve decided to spend it at home, which is also nice!
On my list to get done this week:
I love Glasgow, but I’m not going to lie – it can still be an ugly, violent city when it wants to be. We have a history of brutal gang violence, sectarianism, and drug use that has had a lasting legacy that we as a people fight against every day through social and civic improvement.
Last week, there was a murder that caught the whole city’s attention for its sheer brutal pointlessness. I shan’t go into the details here, as the family have asked for time to grieve, but I will say this: I was walking through the Braehead mall last Saturday when I saw emblazoned on the front page of some red-top tabloid rag the following headline:
Hola everyone! My folks’ arrival is imminent, and I’ve got some cleaning and cooking still to do, so I’ll have to love you and leave you! Enjoy today’s page in the meantime!
Hope you had a great Easter! Ciao for now!

It’s a Bank Holiday, woo! Plenty of time to get some spring cleaning done, cook a lovely lunch for my family, get some commissioned work done and consume chocolate with only a tiny amount of guilt. But apparently the US doesn’t get bank holidays for Easter weekend? Is that, like, a nationwide thing or is it only some companies that don’t give this?
Anyway – On with the spring cleaning! This house is a TIP. I mean, literally, so bad that I’m actually slightly ashamed of the state of the place. TO WORK!
I will admit, I actually had to stop and consider whether or not I’d do an Extra page today, seeing as how I’ve had to rely on doing more of these shorter-to-produce Extra pages to cover times when I’ve not been able to complete a story page in time. As you can see, I decided to go ahead with it – It just feels right to have a little bit of a break in-between major blocks of the current arc.
Hope you’re enjoying the story so far! This is one of the pivotal moments in the Elf Blood overall arc, and sets up a few things in the future – all I’m going to say is prepare for drama!
I’ve been meaning to write this musing for quite a while now – I was thinking about the Duke of Wellington statue in Glasgow, the one that sits outside the Gallery of Modern Art and is almost always adorned with a traffic cone hat (sometimes someone feels sorry for the horse and it gets a wee hat too).
Glasgow City Council went through a phase a few years ago of being absolutely OBSESSED with removing the traffic cones, and ensuring that no new cones were placed there (to absolutely no success, I am happy to report). Their thinking was that, for such a prominent figure in such a prominent place in the city, to have it sullied by drunken behaviour in public, in front of all the tourists, was doing the city a disservice.
Happy Monday, everyone! You’d think that, having all weekend to get prepared, I wouldn’t be posting this at 0500 on Monday morning, but clearly we’ve all underestimated my ability to procrastinate!
So I hope you’ll understand the brief post – Have a great week, and I’ll catch you on Friday!
Toodles!

How-doodly folks! Hope you’re all doing well. Sorry for all the interruptions as of recent – Sort of a combination of work, dieting fatigue (but I’m 3 kg down, so yay me!), terrible sleeping, and rather shamefully a bit too much XCOM2. Should improve from now on, now that I’ve made some changes!
Should be a fun weekend ahead – I’m experimenting with colouring and flavouring chocolate, and am planning on making some fancy chocolates to share with my coworkers. It’s been a while since I last made chocolates, but I do enjoy it so!
