Elf Blood

Hey folks! I’ve got a couple of things I want to have a quick natter about today!

First off: Is anyone else watching the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 revival on Netflix? It’s so very good! Unfortunately, I never got to experience MST3K the first time round, I think I was a little too young for it at the time (not to mention that I didn’t have satellite or cable TV back in the day), so this is my first exposure to it. And it’s INCREDIBLY entertaining. The movies are deliciously clichéd, but never truly painful to watch, and the banter is always well-observed and hilarious, never malicious. It really does feel like watching bad movies with your mates and riffing on all the tropes you can feast on. I’d definitely recommend watching it!

Second: GO CAPS! WOO! It’s been a close series vs the Maple Leafs, and they’ve played some good hockey, but after a number of nail-biting games, the Caps have just pushed through. Next up – Pittsburgh! My top mentions for this series: Andersen, Leafs, for being just an absolutely iron-clad goalie; Oshie, Caps, for some awesome teamplay.

Right, time to survive the work week – I’ve got some great ideas for short-ish print comics that I’m hoping to develop relatively quickly, but I’ve gotta get the next Horror Buffet out the way first, and with all the detail I’m putting into it it’s taking a bit longer to get done. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!

Cheerio for now!
