It’s been a bit thundery around here as of late, which is pretty cool – I love a good thunderstorm. But I DO tend to prefer that it occur more than ten metres away!

We had gotten to the bottom of the village and the bus was changing drivers. So, naturally, everyone’s just kind of dozing off and waiting to resume our journey towards work. Then, all of a sudden, everything goes white, there’s this massive BANG! noise, and a tree in the copse next to the bus almost explodes! No flame or anything, just pure, searing energy delivered in a fraction of a second.

The weirdest bit was the sound – We obviously all know what thunder sounds like from a distance, that rolling rumble creeping across the sky, and maybe the more frightening sudden “BANG!” of a fork hitting a nearby building. But this close, it wasn’t just a rumble or a boom – it had more of a quality of a bite into a crisp apple, amplified a thousand times over.

Nature sure is weird!

Have a great weekend you guys – I’ll see you all on Monday!
