Hey guys, sorry this page was late, and that this post is so short – I have to go and sort my suit out for the funeral. I’ll let you know all about the Gallus Geeks on Monday!
Have a good one, everybody.
Cheers,
Chris

Hola, everybody!
Well, that’s another holiday week come and gone – let’s have a review of that list I made for myself, shall we?
Misses:
Hi everyone – gonna keep it short and sweet, as I’m still on holiday so technically there’s still time for me to achieve the goals I listed for myself! No CHANCE, but still time 😛
Catch you again on Monday!

Hi everyone – I’d like to take today’s blog post and dedicate it to someone who recently passed away.
My good friend’s father, Mr. H., passed away on Friday evening after a short illness. His family were with him, from the home to the hospital. His passing came as a shock to all, and already he is sorely missed. The family, of course, are grieving the loss of a father, and a grandfather, and we friends of the family too are grieving in our own way.
For Mr. H. was a friend, himself. It would not be accurate to call him old fashioned, as he was a man of great intellect and proved to be most adaptive to life’s steady stream of curveballs. No, he was old-school; a good man all round, who made sure his family were well-provided for, and that knowledge and practicality were passed on not only to his own children, but to all of us who would show up in tow. He taught us all so much about so many things, having been many things in his life – a soldier, an entrepreneur, a chef, a scholar. And, most of all – a gentleman. And he was never afraid of a challenge, nor would he back down when there was a righteous battle to be fought.
Hurray! It’s a long weekend! As usual, I’ve come up with an unreasonably long list of stuff that I want to get done, but will inevitably fail to achieve. But at the very least, I’m hoping to get some video monologues recorded, as they should be relatively straightforward to create and edit. In addition to this, I also want to:
Welp, it’s been nice to have a few days off work, and as always, feels like I could do with a few more! How much of my original plan did I manage to get accomplished? Well, very little to tell you the truth, but I did manage to at least give it a good shot. My Mandarin’s advancing pleasantly, I’ve gotten 2/3 f my total commission complete, and I actually did manage to dig and plant a border in my garden! That was exhausting, though – kinda wishing the weather had been right earlier on in my holiday so I could elect to use one of my holiday days to recover from the effort!
Hullo all! Not much to report today really, so I’ll just leave you with this thing I was saying to someone earlier (slightly expanded):
Life isn’t about being a perfect Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, Man, Woman, Rebel, Conformist, Artist, Accountant, or Scotsman; Just aim to be a good person, who treats other people well – that’s what truly counts.
Aanyway, long day ahead! Catch you all on Monday, lovely people!

I’m not going to give him too much publicity here, but a certain well-known ‘pick-up artist’, famous for publishing books detailing ways in which one could coerce women into sleeping with them, and for his horrendous stance that rape of a woman should be legal on private property, has been forced to flee with his tail tucked between his legs.
He had been organising meetings of his lunk-headed ‘neo-masculine’ followers, secretive, childish affairs involving passcodes and laughable threats of retribution against ‘non-believers’ where MEN could discuss and share ideas about being MANLY and tips on how to force women to sleep with them. One of these meetups was (very unwisely) situated in my good ol’ hometown of Glasgow.
I promised you a couple of articles – one silly, and one a bit more serious. This is the silly one.
After much study and academic thought, I hereby declare Friendship is Magic’s Princess Luna as Best Pony. Why, you ask? Because she strikes an almost perfect balance between being impressive and insecure.
I mean, yes, she is a living goddess who could enslave all of Equestria to do her bidding – but she doesn’t exercise that in the present. Rather, the time in the past when she reigned as a dark queen was marked as the result of jealousy and an ill-deserved sense of inferiority. And who hasn’t been in the position where they have done something they regret because they felt they were being neglected or underappreciated?
Hullo everybody! Welp, that’s the festive season over and done with for another year. Time for me to start looking forward to summer now, and plotting barbecues and trips away and the like.
What I’ll also be doing is realigning my creative workstream with my work regime, now that things are settling down a bit. I did enjoy my little post-work writing sessions in the cafe, and I’d love to get back to doing that. Especially as I picked up a short story I’d first-drafted in the cafe a good long while back. I’d forgotten just how poignant the ending was (if I do say so myself).
