RIP Neil Armstrong
Neil Armstrong, the first human to walk on the moon, has died. It’s a sad day for all humankind, and for science, that we should lose such a star of space exploration. But I think that, rather than dwelling on the sombre mood of his passing, we should celebrate the man’s contribution to the sum of human knowledge, and to the spirit of science and engineering.
Few knew much of Armstrong past his involvement in the Apollo missions, a testament to the humbleness with which he carried himself. Following the success of the first moonwalks, Armstrong did not spend time in the spotlight though surely he would have legitimately deserved it; instead, he returned to lecturing on engineering. How wonderful that a man so adventurous, so self-sacrificing, so curious should pass on this spirit to students down the years.
To Neil Armstrong then, friends. Let us never forget that which he did, that which he inspired and that which will be done in his memory. To Mars, to the Stars, and to the far beyond!

G’day,
It’s a teeny gripe but I reckon it should be either “…openly attack anyone except perhaps you or I” or “…openly attack anyone but maybe you or I”.
I like ‘except perhaps you or I’. I think the original wording could work if it were ‘but, perhaps, you or I’ instead. Is there a hard and fast grammatical rule for it? I’d be intrigued to know!
Oh there probably is, but I’m not an English teacher…
So where doe’s BOMF sound effects supposed to be the gun firing or some thing else?
Yeah, it was Sapphire’s carbine firing. I wanted to do one of those shots, like in the samurai films, where two warriors clash and pass by but you don’t quite know who came off victorious. Of course, it all gets resolved in the next panel, but just for that panel, I wanted a little bit more suspense: Who got who? Plus, I decided that the Shark carbine should sound like a G36, so it went ‘BOMF’ 😀
