Today, my friends, I wish Ireland all the best in the referendum on enshrining same-sex marriages within law. I’m sure as readers who’ve been with the comic for a few years know, I’m a keen supporter of equal rights for sexual orientation (among many other things) – everyone should be free to pursue love and happiness! While I believe a vote in this instance isn’t necessarily the best way to go about achieving this goal, I really hope that when the counts are in, Ireland will have shown itself to truly be a forward-thinking, modern society that puts the happiness and wellbeing of its citizens above all else. Fingers crossed!

Hullo all! I just wanted to say in today’s post, I know I’ve kind of let my responses to your comments and questions slip recently – I apologise wholeheartedly for this! I always get a tingly feeling of excitement when I see one of you folks popping up in my mailbox, and I really appreciate your participation – I’m glad that you’ve stuck with me for so long!
I’ll catch up on responding this week, I promise! I’ve just got to spend the next couple of hours before I head to bed working on my print submission. Quite excited about this one, and you might get a sneak peek at it while I’m away on holiday!
Hullo everyone! Just a quick post today, to bring you a little heads-up that I’ll be on holiday in a couple of weeks’ time. Normally I’d work extra hard to queue up some Elf Blood pages while I’m away, but I really need the time to work on pieces for submission.
Worry not, however! I’ll still put something up for the couple of days I’ll be away, but rather than full pages they’ll either be Extra pages or maybe even some sneak peeks at what I’m working on! I’m really looking forward to my holiday – I’ve never been to New York before, and it’ll be great to wander around and take it all in!
Well, I think I can safely say that the most recent General Election results were… Bittersweet, for me. On the one hand, the SNP dominate the Scottish political landscape in terms of seats won, and with a near 50% vote share aren’t too shabby when it comes down to proportional numbers – compare to the 2010 election where Labour won nearly 70% of seats with just over 40% of the popular vote.
On the other hand, the Conservatives got back into power entirely on their own merit – no need for coalition deals with the Liberal Democrats this time. Nor were the SNP able to assist the Labour party in forming any kind of government – the number of seats lost by Labour to the SNP would still have left them with a considerable gap to fill in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland in order to form even a minority government.
Hola folks! Hope you’re well! Not going to dwell massively on today’s post, as I don’t have the attention span to write a proper blog post and pay attention to the general election results at the same time – suffice to say, it’s looking good for Scotland, but not great for Britain as a whole; only time will tell!
Tune in on Monday, for proper politics ranting!
Toodleoo for now, and have a great weekend!

How can I best describe Space Dandy? Space Dandy is basically the anime the Internet would produce, if it had free license. Space Dandy follows the interstellar adventures of Space Dandy, a bounty hunter who finds and retrieves rare extraterrestrials from across the galaxy. Joining him on his quest are QT, his trusty robotic spaceship pilot/engineer/vacuum cleaner, and the lifeform known as Meow, a Betelgeusian alien (who resembles a walking, talking, oversized earth cat and is generally treated as such). Together, they get involved in mishaps and misadventures in their quest for more cash and food to fill their bellies.
Thank goodness for forethought! Rather unfortunately, the machine I used to do the art for Elf Blood and all my other comics packed it in on Wednesday night – I strongly suspect that the curse of the original Sandy Bridge Cougar Point motherboards finally kicked in. Gambled and lost, I suppose!
Fortunately for everyone concerned, my laptop has gamely taken over artwork responsibilities (though I had to go out and buy a USB hub to make it workable). With this change, I actually got some benefits – Windows 8 is better than Windows 7 at accurately processing my tablet’s input for Lazy Nezumi, and I get even more accurate lines now! Plus, I’m now using Photoshop CC, which is a step above my five-year-old Photoshop package I was previously using.
Hullo everyone, sorry about this but I’m going to have to make today’s post yet another short one – I’ve been doing decorating work all day in the new house, and I’ve now got to pack for a work trip. If anyone has a lead on that hourglass thing that Hermione used in Harry Potter, please do get in touch, as I need about fifty extra hours in the week to get all the stuff I want done, done!
See you on Friday, when hopefully I’ll be able to write a longer, more interesting blog post.
Huuuuurgh I’m so tired tonight… It’s been one of those weeks – not constantly knackering, right enough, but capped off with an afternoon of face-to-face customer meetings. They actually went quite well, but damn if I don’t find them draining.
Well, fortunately I’ve got a decent weekend lined up! This evening it’s games night at a friend’s house – We might even be streaming, try checking us out on my pal’s Twitch from about 2100 BST! He’s totally worth checking out during UK evenings anyway, he can often be found playing Crusader Kings or TF2. Have a look-see!
Hullo everyone! I hope the weather’s been as kind to you as it has been to us over the last couple of days. It’s really nice to see the sun shining, and the grass get its colour back, and the trees sprouting their leaves… Everywhere, flowers are blooming and scent is in the air, the delicious smell of distant barbecues waft in on the gentle breeze. I really do prefer spring and summer to autumn and winter, the palette is so much more vibrant.
Anyway, enough of my waxing lyrical about the weather, I’ve got a short story to finish and another comic page to do! Catch you all on Friday!
