Hey everyone! That’s it, the end of Mei Wu book four! Phew! What a journey! I really hope you enjoyed it ๐ I love delving into the hidden world of the foxes every now and then, but I’m absolutely ready to jump back into the Elfy goings-on of the Elf Blood plot. I’m especially jazzed about the upcoming story, because we get to spend extra time with a group of characters we’ve only really seen glimpses of in other characters’ stories – The Pleiades, assistants to the Sages. The title of the story? “Hands of Mara II: Seven Sisters”.

Hola everyone! How was your weekend? I had a great time, actually getting down to some work on my print projects. I mean, I love my friends and family, but every once in a while it’s nice to have time to oneself ๐
Anyway, time to start the ol’ work week. Thoroughly looking forward to my holiday at the end of the month, so prepare yourself for another Holiday Quest ๐
Have a great week folks, and I’ll see you on Friday for the last page of this issue ofย Mei Wu! Cheerio for now!
M.
Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. It’s been another hectic weekend, getting stuff sorted for my fellow Gallus Geeks’ wedding, catching up with family, and generally reassembling the house so it looks like less of a pigsty.
On the plus side, I FINALLY got a video that I’ve been working on finished. For some reason, it took me ages to get the music sorted – I just couldn’t quite nail the ending, which was a bit frustrating considering it was just a bit of bland muzak to go behind a chopped-up video. But, I got there in the end, and hopefully you’ll enjoy it!
Hey folks! Finally, a new page of Mei Wu – sorry about the delays! It just seems as I get older, the responsibilities pile up… And that’s just work, I can’t imagine how crowded people who actually have, y’know, a partner and family as well as a job cope with pursuing art as well. Total respect to you folks, I know you’re out there!
Speaking of pursuing art, I’m in the process of trying to secure myself a spot at a local Small Press Day event so I can sell my two latest print books – trying for the big one in Glasgow right now, but it’s fairly late on in the process. I’d kick myself if I didn’t at least try, though! Hopefully if I don’t get that, there’ll be other Small Press Day events that I can latch on to locally. Fingers crossed!
Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing great.
Still not recovered from last week’s election results – I think I’ve gone somewhat politically numb, and I’m probably going to take a step back from thinking about politics to focus on my art for the next short while, because at least that makes sense.
Just a word of warning, though, Friday’s comic will unfortunately be another Extra page, as I’ve got an exceptionally busy week at work coming up. Hope you don’t mind!
On the plus side: Labour gains in England.
On the minus side: SNP losses in Scotland.
On the fucking ridiculous side: SNP losses TO THE CONSERVATIVES in Scotland.
Who was voting SNP and then switched to the Tories? Seriously?
I mean, all things considered, a repeat of 2015 was unlikely. But when people are voting the likes of Angus Robertson out, who was a more effective opposition MP than any other in Westminster during his tenure, in favour of a Tory who – BY THEIR OWN ACTIONS – cannot effectively make up the Tory majority due to EVEL? Well, that’s just incredible.
Hey everybody! I’ve been hard at work as always – more often than not IN work, unfortunately… But on the plus side, I’ve been working on a couple of projects that I’ve been talking about for a while, and I’ve got a new toy to play with, so it’s all good!
Hopefully some time in the next couple of weeks, I’ll get my storytelling YouTube channel “Licorne & Drake” up and running – in that channel, you’ll hear me narrate my short stories, and watch videos I’ve been making (these will range from me making cocktails and cooking to short documentaries and, if I can get folks involved, short films). The plan is to update every couple of weeks, so as not to interfere with my five-million-and-one other projects!
Hey everyone – not too much to say today. I’m just glad that, so far as I know, nobody I know was hurt in the Manchester attack this week. Even though I don’t live there anymore, even though I moved back because I was missing Glasgow – Manchester was once my home. And the people there are tough. They won’t be beaten. There’s a reason the city’s emblem is the worker bee – they get shit done, through all sorts of adversity, and if you mess with them you’ll find they’re more than capable of holding their own.
Hey everyone! I’ve had a buuuusy busy weekend. Seriously, it feels like I’ve just stepped out of work and all of a sudden the weekend’s just flown by and I’ve gotta head back to the office… However, I’ve managed to get some stuff done that I think you might enjoy, so here, have a couple of links!
Here’s me reviewing a game I’ve been playing far too much of on my tablet.
And here’s me building a Lego Volkswagen Beetle. Even composed the tune myself!
