Office shenanigans!

Hola, everyone!

After last week’s somewhat grim and dour, but nonetheless thought-provoking article (though I do say so myself!), I thought what I’d do instead today was list some of the best pranks we’ve pulled in the office. Er, by which I mean an anonymous perpatrator pulled off. Honestly.

1: The remote-control buzzer. Hidden in strategic locations around the lab and the office, the buzzer is best activated when the Health and Safety advisor is in the vicinty, causing them hunt through the entire building for the sourc of the noise. Bonus points if you hide the buzzer under the desk of your co-conspirator, causing them to go mad. read more

Carnivále!

Morning/Afternoon/Evening all!

What a fantastic day yesterday was! The Manchester Day Parade went off without a hitch, with fantastic weather and a plethora of inspired floats moving along the route. It was so great to see not just so many fun designs, and talented and committed community groups participitating, but also the excellent turnout from members of the public. There’s really no better feeling than wheeling a float along the city streets with thousands of people cheering you on from all sides, young and old alike! The artists who worked on the creations really did themselves a huge credit; All the centrepieces were fascinating, bright and really involving, and the performers along the route did a great job engaging with the crowd. Full props to the School of Samba. The man known to us only as the Dance Commander clearly loves what he does, and has a bitchin’ awesome uniform to boot! 😛 read more

Draw Something AWESOME

Ahoy thar folks, a short update tonight partially because I want to get up early to finish off a page of Lemon Candies and finalise Memecasters for print, and also because the webhosts for this site are annoying me again with their apparent inability to maintain server uptime.

Yes, those are Elf Blood branded M&Ms, lovingly crafted and brought back to me from Frisco by my good friend Christakis! 😀

As you can see, I’ve had copious amounts of fun with them:

And even though I’ve been stuffing my face with them all week, I’ve got more than enough left for more art… I might just try some more.

… Maybe I can’t say I don’t have enough spare time, anymore 😛
