Taking Action
In the wake of the xenophobia and general arseholery arising as a result of Brexit, the Trump Presidency, and what I fear is an imminent fascist victory in France, I’ve come to a decision – I can either continue complaining and getting angry about bigotry, or I can try and do something about it.
I’m not a journalist. I’m not a counsellor. I’m not in any position of power. But I have a pen, and I can tell stories – and if I can bring peoples’ stories to the fore, to document the conflicts and the impacts it are having on people personally, and to record the crisis of humanity this is inflicting upon us, then I’ll do whatever I can.
I need to do some planning, that’s for sure, and I need to free up some time somewhere – but this is important. I’ll find a way.

Good on you – It’s good to know that there’s people who will stand up when it counts. Have been discovering a few particularly good eggs among my own friends – fortunately nothing’s happened to me in the wake of Brexit, but others are seeing it, and in greater quantity, which is worrying…
