Potential Maintenance
Hola, tout le monde!
Just letting you know there maaaaaay be a slight chance of a skip on Monday – It’s unlikely, but it’s worth informing you just in case! Basically, I installed new memory into the machine, and it wasn’t starting up after a few tries at powering it on, but it seems to have sorted itself out after a proper cycle. I really must get myself a backup machine! Hmm, I wonder if a cheap laptop would be able to handle photoshop…
Anyways, don’t forget to check out Slimblog tomorrow morning! I must say, the response I’ve been getting from friends, colleagues and readers has been amazing, and it’s really given me the strength to power through this week’s diet! Your support is very welcome, and hopefully the articles I’ll be writing are worth reading! 😀
Right, I’d best let this backup complete, and then I must be off. Toodlepip for now!
M.
Best of luck with the PC!!
Cheers! It seems to have all gone alright, so Monday’s comic should proceed as planned!
something I didn’t really notice earlier… Is it common to have abbreviated names here? A-Ash and A-Gwen, (Ashleigh-AA?). I’m guessing it’s not just an infectious stutter.
Also, I’m curious as to why Ash brought Gwen into this when she doesn’t know anything about this, and isn’t supposed to interfere…
It’s a nominal prefix that you use before somebody’s nickname, or a contraction of their name. For example, my cousin’s name is Yee-yin, but we usually call her A-Yin.
And you will find out about your second query in a few pages’ time 😀
Oh, I just realised I didn’t address one of your queries. The ‘aa’ particle is used as an intensifier, or a question particle, depending on its use. It’s not actually an abbreviation. For the record, Ashleigh’s surname is Ng, and Gwen’s surname is Lam.
Cheers for the infos!
