Political Fear
As I write this, it’s 0430 and we’re well on our way to leaving the European Union.
This is a bad thing. A bad. Thing.
The only consolation is that Scotland thus far seems to be majority Remain, which suggests a sufficiently different political landscape from the rest of the UK – suggesting also that perhaps, just perhaps, we’re not as united as the myopic, imperial haze likes to think we are.
I’d like to thank Remain-ers everywhere, and I’m proud to see that the two regions I have closest ties to, Manchester and Newcastle, voted in favour of Remain. You guys rock – keep fighting the good fight.
Maybe we’ll be rescued by the remaining areas to be announced. I have my doubts. We’ll have to see, later on.
I’d better get some shut-eye now, but knowing what I know now – it’ll be difficult to fall asleep.
