Aloha! Welcome to some more tweaks and changes! In this edition you’ll find:

  • A different color pallette, with actual consideration for what will look good: Characters will now be illustrated in lighter, more heavily saturated colors, while backgrounds and background characters will be illustrated in darker, less saturated colors. This should allow the characters to really pop out of the background. I’ve also tweaked some of the character colors a fair bit as well, but you can expect these to change until I’m REALLY happy with what I’ve done!
  • Even MORE detailed backgrounds! Really helps give it a sense of scale and space, don’t you think?
  • Added in a second degree of shading, to help add some real volume to the picture.

I’m pretty pleased with the results of this page, although I still think I’ve got a wee bit of tweaking here and there to get it looking juuuust right. Still, progress!

Right, before I leave you, remember that tomorrow my weight loss blog will be updated for the first time in a couple of weeks! Catch how I failed to stay in shape (but didn’t really overdo it all that much) on my weekly blog post, here!

Cheerio for now, remember to let me know what you think of the art experiments, and I’ll see you all on Monday!

Toodlepip!
