Hey folks, just a quick update. I feel constantly exhausted these days – I actually just straight up fell asleep last night when I should have been finishing this page, had to get up early to complete it this morning. Really need to find a way to manage my stress and my energy. And let’s just say that the thing that’s sapping all of that isn’t comics. I really want to do as much as I can, creatively, but I can’t work optimally if every evening I’m tired and worried.

Hey folks! Hope you’re all well. Things are a bit hectic over here right now, but fortunately that hasn’t stopped me from doing a page of story, this week!
Day job is busy as all heck, and in the art-o-sphere, I’m absolutely rammed! I’m working on some thumbnails right now for a very funny comic written by “Out Of Time” author Luke James Halsall (trust me, he’s the next Douglas Adams, just wait and see). I’ve also got a couple of submissions I’m preparing, one comic and one prose. I love having lots of art stuff on the go, though – especially when there’s a goal up ahead, and it’s not just me throwing stuff into the wind and seeing where it lands!
Hey folks – hope you’re all well! This week’s been a little better than the last, and I’m beginning to feel more like myself again. Art helps – it really really does.
Anyway, I’m liking the results of using restricted palette – Although I must confess that I’m a bit tempted to add one or two additional swatches. I think there’s room for tweaking! I definitely believe it’s helping to tie the colours together. I’m looking forward to trying even more restricted palettes on some of my print work to achieve specific artistic effects!
Hey everybody! Look! IT’S A NEW STORY PAGE, YAY!
I’m trying out a restricted colour palette for Elf Blood now – my hope is to harmonise the colour scheme and just have it hold the artwork together a little better. What do you think? I don’t think there’s too many differences visible yet, but it will probably be more apparent later on, as characters with more varied colour schemes come in. I wanted to base the palette around what I think is the most striking colour I use, the red of TKO and SKO (and all of their ancestor/component gene donors) have. I selected warmer colours to cover red, green, blue, yellow, pink, and brown, in dark, mid, and bright flavours, with a desaturated option. I also picked out a range of skin colours and warm greys to go along with them.

No time for more chat I’m afraid, as I’m running a tad late here. Have a great weekend!

Hey folks! Sorry for the late update – I’ve got today off, so I thought I’d get a good night’s sleep and finish today’s page off this morning!
Not a huge amount to report this week – though I’d like to say, if you’re out in the path of the hurricane right now, I hope everything’s going okay for you. Stay safe!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hey folks! Guess what! IT’S STORY TIME AGAIN, YAY!
Gotta be honest, after the buildup to Thought Bubble, it’s REALLY good to get back to telling this story! I’ve got plenty of print work to be cracking on with, but working on Elf Blood will always be special to me!
I’ve also started applying to cons for next year – what would you guys like to see me selling and exhibiting more of? The comics seem to be the best-sellers, with prints following and then individual stickers. Any and all suggestions welcome!
Hey folks! Running a bit late (entirely my own fault) so this is just a quick hello and goodbye to post up today’s comic! Catch you all next week, have a great weekend!
